Material Handler/Receiving

Duties:
1. Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damage and report problems promptly to the appropriate person.
2. Store materials and supplies within the warehouse according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safely using material handling equipment.
3. Loads and unloads delivery vehicles to include operating fork trucks, lifting and carrying merchandise and stocking in appropriate areas throughout the warehouse.
4. Verifies quantities of deliveries and merchandise serial numbers by comparing merchandise to packing slips.
5. Visually inspects deliveries for damage and notifies management of discrepancies.
6. Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times.
7. Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and submits to management each day.
8. Completes customer orders to include obtaining appropriate material from storage in accordance with picking ticket.
9. Prepares shipments to include boxing materials, labeling with appropriate shipping information and completing appropriate paperwork.
10. Communicates delivery problems to customers and management promptly.
11. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
12. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
13. Reports any problems or discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
