Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionSummaryIn this role, you will partner closely with the Vernova People Ops leadership including Global People Ops leader & People Ops Change leader to apply lean principles and methodologies to improve business results. You will play a critical role in high profile business improvement initiatives and problem solve our most important business challenges. The successful candidate will have substantial leadership runway and be passionate about the HR transition.This high-profile position relies on a person’s lean aptitude, business acumen and ability to drive change. The PO Lean Leader will focus on creating, supporting, and driving improvement efforts tied to the company’s most critical people operations processes, including payroll, lifecycle, benefit, M&A, retirement etc. The goal is to positively impact results and culture by leading change, establishing standards, institutionalizing daily management processes, and adopting consistent problem-solving methods. A Lean Business System operating mechanism including establishing KPIs, MOR, Kaizens, Hoshin Kanri will be an integral part of the way we run our function for the long-term. In addition to building our Lean culture and capabilities, one of the explicit goals of the Lean team is to identify and accelerate top talent by enabling our future leaders with Lean. As such, the successful candidate will have substantial leadership runway.Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:
Build Lean culture and capabilities to achieve functional outcomes. Design, adoption and execution of the enterprise-wide Lean transformation of GE Vernova Poepls Operations function
Implement the Lean Business System, including daily management, action planning, problem solving and standard work.
Partner with Executive Leadership to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deploy strategy through Hoshin Kanri.
Run MOR, Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri for the function including managing & reporting against KPIs
Establish a lean competency program, which ensures the establishment of globally recognized standards for Lean practices and principles.
Coach and develop team members at all levels of the organization to become Lean practitioners, with an emphasis not only on Lean tools, but also on key Lean principles and Leadership Behaviors.
Create and lead the roadmap of Lean priorities to improve the Lean maturity of the broader global team
Attach to and support key initiatives as defined by PO team and VER Lean KPO Leadership. Committed peer leadership and partnership. Capture the essence of the Lean culture.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent required; Master’s Degree preferred , or equivalent knowledge or experience
Significant experience leading lean practices for HR, other enabling functions or small P&L
Desired Skills:
Experience successfully driving change and transformation.
Demonstrated lean expertise and impact; understands and can articulate lean as an operating system, culture and tools.
Ability to assess business situations and take action from a SLT’s perspective.
Proven ability to handle complex problems, bring structure and execute in ambiguous environments.
Strong management skills and demonstrated capability to influence.
Proven track record with global cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong business acumen.
Ability to effectively lead in a matrixed and virtual team environment, particularlyworking through the extended teams to accomplish objectives.
Problem-solver with a passion for innovation and developing creative solutions.
If contracted in the US:The salary range for this position is 141,200.00 - 235,400.00 USD Annual . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
