Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the legal industry, based in UNIONDALE, New York. The role involves a variety of administrative duties, including data entry, handling meeting notes, and providing support to a team of attorneys. Responsibilities: Accurate data entry and maintenance of records. Preparation and transcription of meeting notes, potentially from audio sources. Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed. Manage and respond to emails and phone calls in a professional manner. Utilize Microsoft Word for various tasks and projects. Assist in reception duties and provide back-up when necessary. Handle and process legal documents and materials. Provide support in the training process for new software or procedures. Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operation of the office. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in any field related to the legal industry Minimum of 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in the legal field Proficient in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to take accurate and detailed meeting notes Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload High levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the information dealt with Understanding of legal terminology and principles would be advantageous Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with various departments Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
