Description We are seeking a Medical Secretary to join our team in Williamsville, New York. This role entails managing patient communications, coordinating appointments, and maintaining patient records. The successful candidate will have experience with medical office procedures and electronic health record systems.Responsibilities: Manage incoming and outgoing patient communications, ensuring prompt responses and accurate information sharing. Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures, taking into account the availability of medical staff and facilities. Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, including medical histories, diagnoses, treatments, and other relevant information. Utilize medical software such as MEDENT to input and retrieve patient information. Coordinate with appropriate personnel to manage patient care and address any issues or concerns. Process and follow up on patient authorization for medical procedures or treatments. Answer inbound calls from patients, providing information and assistance as needed. Maintain patient charts and graphs to track patient progress and provide visual aids for medical staff. Monitor and update patient accounts, taking appropriate action as needed to ensure account accuracy and compliance with medical office policies. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Requirements Proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Eeg, EHR SYSTEM, and Epic Software Experience in answering inbound calls Ability to liaise with appropriate personnel effectively Knowledge of authorizations and billing functions Familiarity with creating and interpreting charts and graphs Medical Secretary certification or relevant training is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively High level of discretion and confidentiality Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent customer service skills.
