WLOS-TV, the ABC affiliate in beautiful Asheville, NC is looking for a creative full-time Photojournalist! The candidate should have at least 1 year of ENG experience with a daily deadline video news organization. You will cover day to day general, in-depth features and investigative assignments. We are shooting full high definition (HD) on media cards and editing on desktops and laptops. You should have strong editing skills on non-linear edit systems, possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude. A passion for story telling is absolutely essential in this position. WLOS is active in the National Press Photographers Association and reimburses NPPA dues.Requirements and Qualifications:
At least one year of shooting and non-linear editing experience and technical knowledge of non-linear editing and video equipment.
Degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
Team-player who can produce compelling news stories under tight deadlines.
Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and though a CDL is not required, you must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate.
Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots and natural sound packages.
Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis.
