Description Robert Half is looking for a Accountant to join a unique opportunity in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and budgeting & forecasting. In addition, you will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

General Ledger Management:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.

Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis.

Audit and Compliance:

Coordinate and manage external audits.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

Taxation:

Work closely with tax professionals to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and respond to tax inquiries.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Streamline financial processes and systems.

Team Leadership and Development:

Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
