Description There are two positions for this posting which include one associate and another senior role. Job Responsibilities:

Lead efforts in assessing and managing non-technical risk processes and control activities, focusing on areas such as compliance, AML, human resources, legal, fraud, and operational risk.

Develop, enforce, and maintain policies and standards to effectively manage non-financial risks in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Partner with business units to identify, evaluate, and mitigate non-financial risks, ensuring a strong control environment is in place and continuously monitored.

Work closely with compliance, legal, and regulatory teams to stay updated on regulatory changes and new laws, assessing their impact on the bank's non-financial risk and control practices.

Drive the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, control improvements, and corrective action plans in response to identified risks, audit findings, or regulatory reviews.

Regularly audit and review business processes and controls to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Offer expert guidance to business units to help them meet their non-financial risk management obligations.

Prepare and present in-depth reports and analysis for senior management and relevant committees, detailing the current state of non-financial risks, control effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in risk management, compliance, or audit (e.g., CRISC, CAMS) are a plus.

3-5 years of experience for associate specialists (5-7 years for senior specialists) in risk management within the banking or financial services sector, with a strong background in assessing processes and controls.

Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to Compliance, AML, HR, Legal, Fraud, and Operational Risk.

Proven ability to create and implement risk management policies and control frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex risk and control challenges.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.

Proficient in risk assessment tools and methodologies, with experience conducting comprehensive audits of business processes and controls.

Strategic thinker who can anticipate changes in regulations and assess their impact on non-financial risk management.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and initiatives at once.

Work Location:Hybrid work arrangement – Onsite two days per week in Charlotte, NC or Mt.
