We believe in a sustainable future.This role is an entry point to the finance function within Volvo Financial Services. We are looking for candidates with professional degrees and a passion for applying technical learning and frameworks in a corporate finance environment. The role will report to one of our senior finance leaders and will gain experience through planned rotations in the different areas of finance, including Accounting, Tax, Financial Planning, Data Analytics, Cash and Treasury Operations, and Capital Markets. This opportunity can be located in Greensboro, North Carolina, or Aurora, Ontario, and is an in-office role. There will be ample opportunity to work across the organization, including with regional and global headquarters functions.Focus Areas

Accounting: Month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, daily wires, internal controls, and audit support

Tax: compile audit data (sales & use, property tax), internal tax requests, develop account reconciliations, resolve tax issues with jurisdictions, state and federal returns

Financial planning: Business intelligence and monthly or long-term planning, data analysis and business area support, financial modeling, trend analysis

Data analytics: Develop visualizations and advanced analytics, work with IT to reconcile data warehouse and other data sources

Treasury and Cash Operations: cash applications, accounts payable, daily cash forecasting, short-term debt management and forecasting, long-term debt management and matched-funding actions, support for large commercial transactions

Capital markets: syndication and securitization pool development and selection, support servicing of syndicated and securitized contracts, coordinate credit and documentation packages

Learn and understand the financial services business and how the finance function supports all areas of the business

Other duties as required.

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Will support professional certification and development: CPA, CFA, CGMA, etc.

EXPERIENCE:

Entry level position, on-the-job training will be provided.

Internship in finance or accounting preferred.

SKILLS:

Strong analytical skills

Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated track record of process improvement.

Customer service, delivery, and quality focused.

Strong computer literacy with experience in BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate), intermediate / expert Excel skills needed.

Innovative problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
