Job Title: Supplier Quality EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Supplier Quality Engineer, your primary mission is to drive and manage the performance of your supply base. You will provide strong supplier technical assistance to address low-performing suppliers that impact operations. Your goal is to return suppliers to health and ensure zero tolerance for impacting operations or customer satisfaction. You will also support resourcing activities away from troubled suppliers and promote strong collaboration between the Crisis and Risk Management team.Responsibilities

Analyze supplier capacity and investment requests.

Engage actively with suppliers and supply chains.

Assess supplier weaknesses accurately and provide solutions.

Monitor high-risk supplier development issues to prevent crises.

Develop and drive supplier problem-solving techniques for identified faults.

Fix and develop supplier production systems and processes to prevent operational impact.

Drive supplier operational excellence.

Set focused priorities to reach objectives.

Represent the company at suppliers and escalate as needed to prevent crises.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

University degree required, preferably in engineering, business management, or supply chain management.

Experience in supply chain (quality and development) and/or production.

Preferably experience in the automotive or heavy commercial truck industry in supplier quality and capacity, manufacturing engineering, supplier development, or crisis management.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Accountability and project management skills with minimal supervision.

Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Customer-focused mindset dedicated to meeting external and internal customer expectations.

Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose.

Strong integrity and creativity.

Flexibility and preparedness to travel on short notice.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based onsite in Greensboro, NC at the headquarters when not traveling.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
