Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in the market for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Machinery/Worktools industry, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and involves processing vendor invoices, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities: Conducting thorough 3-way matching of vendor invoices with approved purchase orders. Effectively analyzing and addressing unmatched invoices. Ensuring compliance with payment deadlines for optimal use of available discounts. Reviewing and addressing overdue invoices or credit balances from vendor statements in a timely manner. Promptly and professionally addressing inquiries from both internal and external customers. Utilizing Microsoft Excel to perform tasks efficiently. Performing additional duties as assigned.Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position in the Machinery/Worktools industry. Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure all financial data is accurate. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) tasks efficiently. Knowledge of check runs to manage payments effectively. Ability to code invoices correctly to maintain accurate financial records. Excellent data entry skills for inputting financial information into company databases. Proficiency in invoice processing to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, charts, and reports related to financial data.
