Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a highly talented, energetic technology minded professional for immediate employment in the Raleigh, North Carolina office or nationwide. The BIM Specialist will report to the Enterprise GIS & Remote Sensing Manager in the Technology Services Group and support both internal and external clients within the Environment Business line. This position will support a wide variety of AECOM projects including 3D design, environmental permitting, natural disaster recovery, environmental restoration, construction, site assessments, inspections, energy infrastructure development, water resources, transportation, and more. A successful candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with various AECOM staff and project teams to develop, deploy and support GIS and other Geospatial Data Science critical to successful project delivery.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Gather and review technical requirements to meet data collection, development standards and implement quality assurance procedures

Process LiDAR and other survey data for BIM model creation and deliverables in Revit

Work with field staff to ensure quality in data collection

Maintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards

Maintain expertise in existing and emerging BIM related software and technologies

Market BIM services to internal and external clients

Apply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

BA/BS + 4 or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Bachelor's Degree in CAD, BIM, GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review

Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with applications such as:

Background or certificate in BIM design

Build 3D models using design layouts in AutoCAD Revit and NavisWorks

BIM coordination including clash detection and resolution using NavisWorks Manage

Upload models and follow the BIM coordination process through to Model sign off

Assist with the development and maintenance of AutoCAD/Revit templates, details and graphic standards

Experience with BIM Execution Plan (BXP/BEP) and delivering consistent data models

Experience with BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Experience with Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS preferred

Familiarity working with Bently products such as Microstation, LumenRT, and Descartes

Familiarity with LiDAR data collection terrestrial and UAS

Familiarity with LiDAR data processing terrestrial and UAS

Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

Experience with other Geospatial software’s such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, GRASS, QGIS, etc.

Familiarity with Graphic Design software and Adobe Premier CC (optional)

Comfortable working outside and/or traveling occasionally to support field activities

Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment

Maintain expertise in existing and emerging geospatial software and technologies

Understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality

Ability to learn and present best practices for data management including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns

Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic design and production concepts and principles

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
