The primary responsibilities include directed Compressor Technicians while assuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operations of the facilities. This position is responsible for Piedmont’s compliance with federal and state utility commission regulations as defined in 49 CFR, subpart 192; federal and state environmental regulation, as well as company policies and procedures. This is achieved through field activities associated with the facility maintenance and operations of the compression equipment and all other ancillary equipment needed for the operation of the facility. The SCADA and instrumentation systems are necessary to monitor each of the activities as needed to maintain system safety and reliability. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of the equipment, systems, and infrastructure. It is expected that the Supervisor of Compression, with direction from the Director of LNG and Compression, develop operating procedures and preventative maintenance programs on equipment; make recommendations and provide oversite on future installations and capital improvements; ensure all required reports, documentation, and operational data are accurate and properly maintained and stored in their appropriate systems of record; ensure safe and reliable operations of plant facilities; plan, maintain, and manage appropriate staffing levels; enter and process material and service requisitions and purchase orders; and maintain Operator Qualification required for the operation and maintenance of the compression equipment. Routine internal contacts include management and team members in the following areas: Gas Control, Engineering and Technical Services, System Integrity, Measurement and Regulation, SCADA, IT, Telecom, and CIOPS departments. External liaisons include state and federal regulatory officials, local law enforcement, local emergency response, contractors, and trade associations. RESPONS I B I LIT I ES

Provide supervision, direction, and technical guidance to direct reports,
Ensure required training and Operator Qualifications are complete and up to date,
Ensure the professional development of direct reports,
Perform field observations to ensure team compliance with policies and procedures,
Assist management with budgeting forecast, process invoices, enter and process material requisition requests, enter and process service order requests,
Assure the reliability and readiness of the facilities equipment and systems. The facilities equipment and systems include plant process controls and automation system, pumps, compressors, storage tanks, generators, electrical systems, utility systems (air, water, sump pumps, fire protection and hazard detection systems, security systems, and etc.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of maintenance records, procedures, reports, documentations, and operational data. Ensure information is stored and maintained in their appropriate system of record and up to date,
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bas i c / Required Qualificat i ons
High School Diploma/GED
In addition to High School Diploma/GED, seven (8) years of related work experience
Additional Preferred Qua li fica t ions
Have thorough knowledge of the transmission pipeline system associated with Pipeline Operations
Proficient in the use of information systems including PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Able to analyze problems as they relate to Pipeline Operations and find solutions to resolve the situation.
Able to work under tight timelines, meet deadlines, and perform in stressful conditions.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations as defined in 49 CFR 192
Knowledge of Caterpillar engines
Knowledge of Ariel compressors
Knowledge of environmental and safety requirement as it applies to the Compression Department
Able to work independently.
Excellent leadership skills consistent with Piedmont core values and leadership competencies
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude including skills to maintain a wide range of plant components ranging from controls to large compressors,
Managerial/Supervisory experience with strong decision-making skills,
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills,
Demonstrate project management experience,
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and project development
Working Conditions
Occasional exposure to outdoor hot and cold temperatures
Require flexibility of work hour. On - call 24 hours per day for emergencies
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move object up to 75 pounds
Able to walk over uneven terrain
Able to climb steps and structures
Must be able to drive long distances
