OverviewCHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care assisted and residential living communities community health services organizations home health agencies and numerous outpatient facilities.THIS POSITION QUALIFIES FOR A $15,000 SIGN ON BONUSResponsibilities

Proper assessment of the patient and their abilities to participate in ordered procedure. Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including; duration, process, and what to expect following completion. Verifies informed consent for and assists physician with interventional procedures; needle localization, aspiration, biopsies, and other invasive procedures. Practices aseptic and sterile techniques as necessary and observes universal precautions. Provides patient education as appropriate.

Selection of the proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gathers proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure. Recognizes all radiation safety standards including “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely”

Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.

Is able to perform quality assessment of images obtained and is able to evaluate equipment issues and reports assessment to supervisor, manager or director.

QualificationsRequired Education for Staff Job LevelsCurrently enrolled in, or graduate of, a Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiology Technology program or graduate of a post-secondary allied health profession program and on-the-job training with registered sonographer.Required Licensure and CertificationsBLS required upon hire. Please refer to policy “Licensed, Certified, and Registered Employees” for acceptable Life Support cards.ARDMS board certification within 6 months of hire.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesUnderstands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture’s as required for positionDemonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashionMust be self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignmentsMust be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skillsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skillsInterpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team membersPREFERRED QualificationsSix to nine months ultrasound experience preferredARRT Board Certified in Radiology, if appropriateMust hold a valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to Practice license in North Dakota depending on work state if appropriate.Pay Range$32.08 - $46.51 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
