Roles within this group work to prepare project plans, controls & specifications, schedules, cost estimates, testing and/or coordination of key project deliverables.ResponsibilitiesSpecific Responsibilities: Execute material compounding projects to meet compound technology roadmap commitments on time and on schedule Develop new compounding strategies based on new raw material application rule setsGeneral Responsibilities: Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals Supports continuous improvement/automation activities Makes recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials May participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications Coordinates pilot-plant or initial production runs on new products or processes Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders Creation and management of institutional knowledge Other duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical degree Experience in Materials development, Compound development, or Product formulationMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of Industry experience OR Master's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experienceMinimum QualificationsTypically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experienceBridgestone is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
