Description We are looking for a meticulous Accountant to join our team in the Professional Services industry based in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks, including financial tracking, cost analysis, bank reconciliation, and providing financial forecasts to support business planning. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, for precise financial tracking and reporting. Conduct accounting activities including the examination and reporting of costs associated with production for cost control. Prepare and maintain precise profit & loss statements. Perform regular bank statement reconciliations. Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes. Offer financial forecasts to support business planning. Monitor and analyze inventory costs, conducting regular inventory reconciliations and valuations. Collaborate with senior financial team members to provide detailed financial insights and recommendations. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist in preparing documentation for financial audits and provide necessary information. Ensure financial data is recorded and maintained accurately in the accounting system.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field is required Proficiency in Accounting Functions is essential Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Auditing is required Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account is mandatory Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Cost Accounting, Standard Cost Accounting, and Manufacturing Cost Accounting is essential Must be able to work in a professional services industry Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and with a team Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
