Summary: The Reality Labs Content Operations team is looking for a leader to take our Games group into the next chapter of its lifecycle. You will work directly with a team of seasoned Operations Managers and video game producers, coordinating support of our Games publishing business across financial operations, contracting, and process management.This is an operations role, not a production or development role. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated passion for video games and be familiar with multiple genres of VR, PC, and/or console titles. You have extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills and the need to move fast in a quick paced environment and possess the skill to keep calm and collected during times of high pressure. You will continue to build and maintain a robust, repeatable documented process for the development pipeline from identification to launch and into live service; a history of process improvement and optimization will serve you well.Coming into this role, you should have the experience to quickly build strong partnerships across multiple internal cross-functional groups, instill confidence, identify gaps and strengths, and implement processes that allow us to run more efficiently. We’re looking for a seasoned and accomplished manager deeply invested in the growth and success of their reports. Additionally, this role requires a strong understanding of the game development life cycle, tools, and processes from pre-production through to launch and into live services. The ideal candidate will have experience with strategic and measurable goal definition across an organization, using data to drive future decisions, and working with external QA and localization vendors.Required Skills: Head of Games Operations, 2nd & 3rd-Party Responsibilities:

Lead a high-functioning team that drives structure and process for the Content Games pillar. The Content Games pillar is an international group of Developer Relations, Sourcing and Production professionals who manage Quest 2nd- and 3rd-party developer engagements, including Oculus Publishing

Partner with the Director of Oculus Publishing to empower your team to level up the internal execution, bandwidth, and throughput of the Games pillar with new processes, process improvements, changes to organization and workflows, or other changes that make sense given your expertise in development management, development operations, game production, and team management

Oversee team ownership of financial trackers and financial operations of a large-scale publishing operation with dozens of titles launching per year and hundreds of milestones. Ensure quarterly and yearly forecasts are delivered on time and with high accuracy

Continue to build and maintain a robust, repeatable documented process for the development pipeline from identification to launch and into live service

Drive accountability for high-quality Due Diligence executed by teams you support, including (but not limited to) ensuring correct documentation for content investment reviews, developer capability assessment, project budget and schedule, and rationale for approval

Contribute to work streams with Business Development and Legal to structure developer contracts with the proper milestone and deliverables needed to ensure timely delivery with a minimum of oversight

Work through influence and your team to troubleshoot development issues and create plans to get back on track

Ensure timely reporting on projects that are both in-development or have already launched, staying ahead of the organization’s needs. Ensure cross functional partners have the information they need to execute against their objectives through data accuracy and enforcing best practices with the team

Ensure best practices are shared across other Content Operations teams and that teams such as the Tools team are getting high-quality feedback on their initiatives.

Supervise ongoing programs such as partnership with internal and external UXR teams and game evaluations

Partner with other Content Operations Leads on improvements to cross-Content initiatives, including but not limited to the Greenlight process.

Establish action plans and timelines in line with our organization’s goals and objectives

monitor and hold team accountable through influence and indirect reporting lines

Foster a work environment where team members remain committed and continue to take ownership in delivering content at quality and on time

Occasional domestic and international travel for this role will be required

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 12 years experience in video game development or video game project management, with at least eight of those years leading teams with 8-10 (or more) people

8+ years experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling

Solid understanding of the game development life cycle, tools and processes from pre-production through to launch and in to live services

Experience with strategic and measurable goal definition across an organization

Experience using data to drive future decisions

Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Needs to move fast in a quick paced environment and possess the skill to keep calm and collected during times of high pressure

Interpersonal skills with emphasis on building productive and positive relationships with 2nd and 3rd party developers, managers, peers, cross functional partners and vendors

Demonstrated experience for video games and familiar with multiple genres of VR, PC and/or console games

Experience with compliance and certification testing (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo)

Experience working with external QA and Localization vendors

Experience to conduct on-site developer evaluations
