Job DescriptionMobile QA ManagerDo you have a passion for ensuring the quality of new frameworks/services and working with Oracle's most critical customers? As a Mobile QA Manager in our team, you will lead a team of QA engineers responsible for the quality assurance of the complete Software Development Life Cycle and operations of our new frameworks and services. You are familiar with analysing the technical assessments of new features and identifying the scope of work/dependencies for test requirements. While your focus will be on mobile, you should be able to dive into any part of the stack. You should have knowledge and experience with advanced networking in the mobile environment. Testing for performance and stability should be the primary priority. Join us to grow your career and create the future of software assurance systems at scale together.Career Level - M3ResponsibilitiesAs a manager within of our global team, you will:

Lead a group of software test engineers testing our mobile products, providing technical support, solutions and designs required for white box and manual testing.

Carry out technical assessments on requested features and identify scope of work/dependencies for testing.

Provide technical guidance in identifying automation targets and designing white box test scenarios, participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.

Implement, execute, and maintain test cases on different devices and platforms.

Assist in troubleshooting and debugging code to find the root cause of the issues and provide detailed information to the development team.

Conduct static and dynamic code analysis to identify potential performance bottlenecks.

Work with cross functional stake holders in creating and executing test plans.

Prepare time estimates of all design options and other project requirements.

Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and incorporate them into the team’s software test operational processes.

Promoting the established processes across the team as well as seeking opportunities to streamline and improve on it.

What you'll bring:General Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

6+ years of relevant experience in software test engineering including both white-box and black-box test methodologies for mobile platforms.

2+ years of experience in leading software test teams.

Knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance concepts, best practices, and procedures.

Basic knowledge of any scripting language preferably Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of Android and iOS platforms, with a proven track record of testing applications leveraging performance, scalability, and user experience.

Analyze and identify code for efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Proficient with code versioning tools, particularly git

Experience working with defect tracking tools such as JIRA is required.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders.

Prior experience in testing/validating SDK will be a big plus.

Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies will be a plus.

Able to meet changing demands and to adapt to frequently changing priorities

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
