Responsible for day-to-day month-close and quarter-end accounting, reporting, and analysis functionsHow you will make an impact:
Reviews journal entries and reconciliation, monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis, and complex and comprehensive analysis of financial results.
Prepares and presents financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
Manages SOX and other internal controls.
Coordinates and leads critical and complex projects. Prepares internal management reporting and manages internal and external audits.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports
Minimum Requirements:
Requires BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business and minimum of 8 years progressively more responsible experience in a Controller or senior financial management position with a medium to large insurance company; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
CPA, CFM or CMA designation preferred.
MBA or Masters in Accounting preferred.
