Job DescriptionAn employer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract to hire job opportunity in the Cincinnati, OH area. This company is an international manufacturer of custom machined and heat-treated parts and component assemblies for heavy-duty industrial applications. This engineer will be joining their Application/Production division, and will be joining a team of 20 Engineers. Majority of their work will be focused in design, and some shop work to test their products. They will have ownership of specific products they're working on.Key Position Responsibilities: Design of mechanical components and assemblies. Generation of accurate 3D solid models and detailed manufacturing drawings. Adherence to both industry standards (AGMA, ANSI, etc.) as well as internal standards and design criteria. Product optimization utilizing established engineering principles along with both internally developed and enterprise software platforms. Ensure relevant engineering documentation is current within the Product Lifecycle Management system (Bluestar). Generate bills of material as needed. Work with manufacturing personnel during "run tests" of select assembled equipment to ensure proper function and adherence to customer requirements. 4+ years of experience in the mechanical or industrial heavy equipment industry
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, MET, or aerospace
CAD experience (Solidworks preferred) - PLM system experience null
