Aircraft Types787737777Unclassified DefensePrimary ResponsibilitiesAssembly & InstallationAssemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and structural/system components.Follow drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established procedures.Perform functional testing and ensure fit, form, and function of assemblies/components.Information & DocumentationObtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal, and electronic sources.Tools & MeasurementsUse shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments for assignments.Utilize tooling in assembling components into sub-assemblies or end items.Quality & VerificationVerify work aligns with work instructions, process, and engineering specifications.Identify discrepancies according to procedure.Ensure equipment and tool certifications are current.MaintenancePerform minor routine machine maintenance (e.g., filters, lights, lubrication/coolant levels).Material HandlingMove products within manufacturing areas using shop-assigned equipment.Complete transactions necessary for moving products to the next operation.Scheduling & ProductivityComplete work within allotted schedules.Support continuous product flow by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.Training & Cross-TrainingTrain other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.Cross-train in inspection to become SIA qualified.Equipment OperationSetup and operate conventional and/or CNC and fastening equipment (<3-axis movement).May include Drive Matic processes.
