We’re looking for a Apprentice Splicer Coax to join our team and help connect America. With direction, performs duties as a Splicer Coax as a part of the construction of telecommunications to ensure scope of work performed is within standards required by our customer. What you’ll do…

You will, learn and perform task associated with electronic upgrade and splicing of coaxial cable for cable televison systems.

You will, learn and maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assigment.

You will, learn and assemble equipment according to design specifications.

You will, learn to arrive at locations, install equipment on pole or in pedestal using varioys hand tools.

You will, learn and perform test, activates, and troubleshoots equipment after installation.

You will Reconcile all issued parts and materials daily to ensure accurate material usage counts.

You will complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-builts maps' for area built and track daily production.

You will close a project by completing production sheets, verifying proper levels after activation, and adjust and troubleshoot, as necessary.

QualificationsWho we are looking for…

You will have 1-2 or more years experience as a coax splicer with experience on outside plant or system installations while working from blueprints, specifications, and system documentation

You will have a high school diploma or equivalent

You are able to lift up to 80 lbs

You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

A valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.

A good driving record

Ability to read and build from blueprints and/or wire diagrams.

Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary.

Must be able to climb numerous telephone poles daily, approximately 20 feet in height.
