Our preschool and childcare program is looking to hire a pre-k teacher to join our staff.
We invite you to apply if you are currently enrolled in the Central Background Registry and have a year of experience teaching in a licensed childcare center or if you have a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education or accumulative school credits to meet the state requirements before the hire date.
Other requirements include the following classes and certifications
Oregon Food Handlers Card, a 1-hour online course
Pediatric First Aid and CPR, an in-person class
Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, an online hour-long class
Foundations of Learning and
Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety, both are a short online course.
The applicant must be willing to work Monday through Friday in a schedule between the hours of 7:30-5:30, up to an 8-hour shift. Our program operates year-round. The hire date is as soon as possible.
This position offered will be for a teacher in our second Pre-K classroom with up to 10 children, who are 4 and will turn 5 over the next year.
Duties include, but are not limited to, Lesson Planning for daily learning activities, Classroom Environment set up and
maintenance. Supervising play, both inside and outside on the playground, serving lunch and snacks, record keeping, parent communication and some light housekeeping.
The applicant must want and be able to work in a cooperative team environment.

Allison Park is a Christian school. It is not a requirement that our teachers attend church. You should be willing to say a prayer of thanksgiving at mealtime with the children, attend chapel with the classes once a week and read bible stories and accept questions from children about the story or lesson from chapel. We are a non-denomination school, and all faiths are recognized and accepted.
