Our Family owned and operated Dairy Farm is seeking an experienced diesel engine mechanic. Experience with diesel engines is REQUIRED.
Candidate must be honest, hardworking, and dependable AND must provide a minimum of 2 references for consideration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Assemble and disassemble engine components for repair or replacement.
Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary for repairs.
Conduct inspections of air brake systems and other critical components.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards.
Adhere to OEM specifications during repairs to ensure quality workmanship.
SKILLS:
Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel mechanics.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment repair tasks.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including Caterpillar, John Deere and Fendt machinery.
Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance requirements.
Strong ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repair tasks.
