Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join one of our clients based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, from operational support with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to supporting with journal entries and GL reconciliations. Responsibilities: Accurately inputting accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts Processing journal entries as required Participating in annual audits Assisting with daily inventory and cycle counting procedures Maintaining reports and ensuring the proper filing of documents Providing support for payroll processes Demonstrating adaptability by taking on additional tasks as necessary Collaborating effectively within a small team environment.Requirements 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Knowledge of ADP - Payroll for managing payroll duties Proficiency in Sage 300 is a plus! Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred, but not required Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
