Job Summary: To receive all designated products, process incoming orders, invoices and credits accurately and efficiently, and to maintain a fully stocked kitchen and service area. Always remain watchful to ensure safe food handling procedures are being followed.
General Responsibilities:
Ensure all products are received in accordance with the AFC Receiving Policy
Check deliveries to verify piece count; check for damage and quality
Notify appropriate PFD personnel of discrepancies, quality problems and out of stock items
Receive and break down pallets
Route invoices to Buyers and/or Accounts Payable as appropriate
Date and rotate back stock into storage
Keep storage areas clean and organized
Note out of stock items and maintain communication to departments
Coordinate returns and credit from suppliers where applicable & coordinate with A/P to ensure credit is received
Ensure that items procured through in-store transfers are recorded accurately and thoroughly
Maintain accurate up to date shrinkage records
Participate in quarterly inventory counts
Qualifications:
Demonstrate familiarity with Natural and Organic Foods
Exhibits attention to detail
Ability to work unsupervised
Excellent communication skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs repeatedly
Ability to move large loaded carts to storage facility
Sit and review information on a computer screen or on paper for moderate periods of time.
