We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a nurturing learning environment. We are in the business of caring, so a caring compassionate loving person is needed for this very important time in children's lives.

We are a Lifeways/Waldorf inspired program and have been in business for over 6 years in SW Portland. We believe in a lot of outside time rain or shine, walks in the woods near by, baking or art every day. Ages are 1-5 yrs and our group size is 12 currently. Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum

- Provide physical education activities to promote gross motor skills development

- Utilize Lifeways/Waldorf educational methods to enhance learning experiences (willing to train)

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the school's curriculum

- Support children with special education needs in the classroom

- Ensure the well-being and safety of all children under your care

- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress

Requirements

-Ability to collaborate with others a must!

- Previous experience in a preschool setting is needed

- Knowledge of child welfare and development

- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and coworkers

- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

- Strong organizational skills for managing classroom activities and resources

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on years of experience and education

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
