Powell’s Books, the world’s largest independent bookstore, has openings for part-time temporary Generalist positions at Powell's Books on Hawthorne.
These positions will focus on cashiering, customer service on the sales floor, and section maintenance.
These positions are designed to end sometime in the beginning of January. There are often opportunities to apply for Regular (ongoing) positions near the end of a temporary assignment.
The successful candidates will have a strong and demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service, adaptability and flexibility, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated experience ensuring accuracy in their work, and an attention to detail.

Pay: $15.95 per hour, with a wage increase to $17.00 per hour effective the first day of the pay period following the 31st calendar day from hire.
Schedules will be regular and consistent and will include one or both weekend days. Shifts will begin as early as 10am, or will end as late as 9pm.
