Open Dental is a growing dental software company founded in 2003 and located in Salem, Oregon.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This job involves maintaining our office buildings and associated grounds to keep facilities and equipment clean, orderly, and in good repair. Responsibility areas include general facility repair, groundskeeping, assembly, and special projects that depend upon the employee’s particular advanced skills. This position differs from our Maintenance I and II positions in that it requires additional skills, communication, reliability, experience, and leadership.
STARTING HOURLY PAY: $27.00/hr
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Operate a variety of equipment to perform duties such as excavator, loader, chainsaw, forklift, tractors, chippers, sprayers, etc.
- Maintenance and minor repair of various tractors, gators, chippers, sprayers, street sweeper, bark blower, etc.
- Regular preventive maintenance and minor repair for about 50 HVAC units
- Installation and repair of irrigation systems
- Painting, repairing drywall, and use of various tools
- Skill based repair, maintenance, and build projects
- Mounting cameras, lights, cubicle accessories, monitors, blinds, etc.
- Managing list of water filters and performing regular replacements
- Changing batteries in alarm systems, card access systems, and fire alarm systems
- Pouring or repairing concrete
- Groundskeeping duties such as watering, mowing, raking, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, planting, etc.
- Assemble and configure cubicles and furniture
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform assigned tasks independently by following oral and written instructions
- Problem solving
- Verbal and listening communication skills
- Time management
- Ability to work independently or in a group
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
- Ability to read and understand labels and instructions
LICENSES:
- Valid Oregon State driver's license

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work will generally be performed in an office environment or outdoors
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stand/walk for long periods of time
- Engage in repetitive work motions such as gripping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and mopping
- Frequent use of hands and arms and may require reaching above shoulders and head, climbing ladders, and cleaning surfaces at a variety of heights and angles
- Frequently required to lift equipment and/or materials up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs

We generally don't hire someone who lives far outside of Salem because it's beneficial for us to have employees who live near the office.
