Bailey Seed & Grain is a wholesale grass and forage seed dealer and processor, with a warehouse in Salem, OR and a processing plant in Albany, OR. We are looking for a new, permanent, crew member to join our warehouse team in Salem, OR. Bailey Seed is seeking a hard-working, organized individual with strong attention to detail to become a valued member of our staff.
IMPORTANT Our Salem location will be moving to Albany in October (10/2024), so the ability to transfer to this location when we move is a MUST.
Experience/Skills Needed:
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
-Forklift experience for loading, unloading, and stacking pallets of seed.
-Ability to lift 50+/-lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
-Can read and understand written documents in English
-Utilize an inventory and paperwork to pull/assemble seed orders for customers
-Driven to help keep our warehouse clean and organized.
-Ability to operate, or learn to operate, seed blending machinery to create seed blends.
-Ability to do, or learn to do: bagging, re-bagging, stacking, organizing, and staging bags of seed.
HOURS: 7AM-4PM shift, with varying hours during busy season. Maximum 10-hour days, with overtime available. Training and advancement within the company are available.

We offer up to 3% matching on regular wages in a simple IRA retirement plan after 6 months. There are 7 paid holidays after a 90-day probationary period. After the 90-day probationary period, we also offer up to 1 week of paid sick leave per year, and up to 1 week of paid vacation per year (accrued throughout the year).
