Now Hiring Construction Laborers for Driller ApprenticeshipJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborers to join our team. Home Office would be Newburg, PA 10-12 hour work days Work area is Central PA, Western Maryland, Eastern Panhandle of WV and Northern VirginiaDrillers and Driller apprentices arrive in Newburg between 5:45am and 6am most days depending on the job site location.
They load up material and fuel up for the day and head to their first job.
Majority of work is on residential construction sites.
Driller will drive the Drill rig and the apprentice takes the service truck both of which require a CDL.
The apprentice is there to be the Drillers right hand man. This will include a lot of labor work. Our goal for all apprentice’s is to master the helper role and begin learning the controls to become a Driller.
Time frame for this progression is in the hands of the apprentice it depends on how fast they are able to learn.
Communication and team work is key.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment as needed.
Assist with welding and mechanical tasks, particularly diesel mechanics.
Support construction activities such as landscaping, concrete finishing, roofing, and general contracting.
Load materials and fuel vehicles in preparation for job sites.
Drive company vehicles, including a rig and service truck, requiring a CDL (will help obtain CDL if do not have)
Perform labor-intensive tasks, ensuring job site safety and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Travel to job sites within a 150-mile radius, with occasional overnight stays.
Essential Skills
Clean driving record.
2-3 years of heavy equipment or farming experience.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Mechanical aptitude, particularly with diesel engines.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
