Nuclear EngineeringJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineer will be responsible for performing design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA).Additional Responsibilities:
Development and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena
Use of statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and/or development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidents
Cognizance of plant specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting
Point of contact for plant-specific LOCA specific inquiries from both internal and external customers
Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis
Mentor and coach newer engineers
Identify and suggest process improvements
Participate on project teams, contribute to project schedule generation and cost estimatesSPECIFIC DESIREDSKILLS:Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles
Concise and effective written and verbal skills
Ability to independently establish and implement personal goals and action plans
Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues: project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations, etc.
