Clean, disinfect, and sterilize respiratory equipment according to departmental procedures.
Replace oxygen and other compressed gas cylinders used for respiratory care across all patient age groups.
Maintain adequate inventory and stock of general supplies and medications used in Respiratory Care.
Proficiently use the hospital's computer system for documentation and communication.
Demonstrate service excellence by actively addressing the needs of patients, families, physicians, and staff.
Assemble, distribute, and replenish respiratory care supplies throughout the hospital.
Assist in disassembling and preparing respiratory equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
Educate fellow employees and therapist/technician students on respiratory care tasks and procedures.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift equipment and or supplies weighing up to 30 pounds and push/handle equipment weighing up to 100 pounds
Preferred:
Enrollment in a post-secondary education program
Preference given to students enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program
