THE POSITION

Are you interested in assisting with the enforcement of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to combat sports events? As a State Athletic Commission Inspector, you will have the opportunity to support events in Erie and surrounding counties, most notably the Bayfront Brawl in July/August and the evening before Thanksgiving. Apply today to become an essential part of our team that is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and integrity at events!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a State Athletic Commission Inspector, your focus will be enforcing all applicable statutes, regulations, and/or policies of the commission. You will be responsible for assisting at combative sports events, professional wrestling events, and pre-bout weigh-ins. Work includes supervising dressing rooms and ensuring combatants receive physicals before events as well as possession of the required equipment. You will be required to complete licensing paperwork as needed at weigh-ins and events. Additional duties include escorting assigned combatants to the fighting area and remaining ringside to perform the following functions:

Listening to the referee's instructions

Observing the combatant and the care of the combatant

Communicating information as needed to the referee, ringside physician, and other commission staff

Observing the conduct and actions of the licensed corner people and taking appropriate action

Assisting the ringside physician and the paramedics, as necessary

Keeping unauthorized personnel out of the fighting area

Escorting the combatant back to the dressing room at the end of the fightWork Schedule and Additional Information:

Per-diem employment, home headquartered

Work schedule includes as needed evenings and weekends. Events include athletic boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts.

Salary:Pay is $10/unit. Typical events are 10 units = $100

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

High school graduate; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:

You must possess a current Class C Driver's License.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Preferred Qualifications (not required):
