By joining our team,you willcontribute to producing and delivering every formof salt that enhances everyday life.Job SummaryThe Food, Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Manager is responsible for managing all FSQR activities and programs at the site level. It serves as the management representative for all applicable areas within Quality and Animal Food Safety to ensure that we satisfy our customers, comply with corporate and local/state/federal legal and regulatory requirements, and continuously improve our systems, processes, and culture. Ensures product safety, integrity, legality, quality, and authenticity of all products produced.Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the sites in all Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory related activities for animal feed, water conditioning and industrial grade products, when applicable at location.

In the U.S. or Canadian sites shipping to the U.S., act as Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and ensure all requirements are met for PCs/CCPs/oPRPs for FSMA and/or SFCR.

Ensure compliance with specifications, customer, and regulatory requirements at the site.

Lead the consumer and/or customer complaint investigations process, including conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective or preventive action(s) (CAPA's) up to and including into manufacturing processes and/or product specification(s).

Lead the process at the sites for all food safety and quality opportunities including verification of effectiveness of CAPA's.

Lead the sites for all quality and animal food safety audits including internal, third party, and regulatory agencies. Responsible for leading the closure of any Non-Conformances.

Lead the sites in determining the annual FSQR Program and Animal Food Safety training needs for all employees.

Drives Quality and Animal Food Safety culture at the sites.

Lead and manage the disposition of all products placed on hold due to incident, out of specification test results, obsolete or slow-moving inventory.

Serves as the Animal Food Safety Program Team Leader, to ensure the Animal Food Safety Plan is established, implemented, and maintained. Ensures the plan is reviewed and updated annually or as needed.

Maintain and update the site mock recall program and conduct traceability exercises, as required.

Manage the Animal Food Safety and Quality Management System for the site, to include development, maintenance and implementation of all site level policies, procedures, and work instructions that affect quality and/or food safety of the products.

Oversees quality laboratory testing and review/approve results.

Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process at the sites.

Conduct regular reviews of the facility's Pre-requisite Programs (PRPs), GMP Compliance, and Sanitation/Housekeeping Compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or other related science field (Required)

Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a food, feed or USP manufacturing FSQR laboratory

Strong knowledge of International Safety Protocol (ISP) and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), Standards and Regulatory Requirements of FDA FSMA, HACCP Programs.

As applicable, knowledge of USP regulations.

PCQI-certification in Human and/or Animal Feed preferred.

Highly self-motivated, high energy and ability to work independently and team contributor and collaborator, s ow initiative, and drive positive change in system, processes, and culture.

Ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures as well as all applicable local/state/federal regulations.

Well-developed interpersonal, communication skills and able to manage conflict in a stressful environment

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast paced and challenging site environment.

Ability to effectively communicate and present information to all levels throughout the Morton Salt organization as well as internal and external staff, government authorities, auditors, customers, vendors, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility.

Work performed in a plant environment.
