Job Description SummaryThe Marine Services Sales Manager - Government will provide technical subject matter expertise and leverage Government relationships to support the GE Vernova Power Conversion Marine Services business. The Marine Services Sales Manager - Government will familiarize themselves with all delivered Power Conversion scope of supply and implement services marketing strategies across the government marine segment. This role requires a growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to explore new market applications and evolve existing corporate relationships.The Marine Services Sales Manager - Government will continually develop customer relationships to feedback customer insight to keep GE Vernova Power Conversion technical teams ahead of customer need. The Marine Services Sales Manager - Government will be responsible for delivering orders and maintaining a margin to meet defined targets.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesAs the Marine Services Sales Manager - Government, you will:

Own the Government services sales budget, delivering volume and margin to meet quarterly targets. Targets will be set for services supporting the installed base.

Apply subject matter expertise (electrical and mechanical systems) to support the bidding process for service opportunities. Identify relevant offerings with the goal to capture new service opportunities.

Lead commercial and technical proposal efforts coordinating risk analysis with the relevant supporting functions within Power Conversion.

Form partnerships with strategic external partners and across the GE Vernova family of businesses complementing Power Conversion solutions to optimize customer outcomes.

Partner and facilitate relationships with Government customers reflecting appreciation for customer mission requirements and strategic goals.

Develop opportunities and solutions that apply Power Conversion technical superiority to address current and future customer requirements. Extend these opportunities to encompass the total GE Vernova portfolio.

Monitor Government opportunities published in the US and Canadian markets for potential projects for Power Conversion and GE Vernova competition.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture, or related, from an accredited university or college

Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical engineering, system engineering; including requirements generation, design, test, commissioning, delivery, and fleet service

Eligibility Requirements

Ability and willingness to obtain a secret clearance

Ability and willingness to travel 40% of the time (domestically and internationally)

Desired CharacteristicsExperience with Government contracting and requirements

Leadership experience in a branch of the United States Military

Strong background in shipboard and land based medium and high voltage systems, including variable frequency drives, rotating machines and auxiliary systems

Thorough understanding of US Navy Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and acquisition procedures

Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college

Minimum of 3 years sales experience, with demonstrated record of growth oriented success

Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives

Knowledge of GE Vernova scope of supply (motors, variable speed drives, switchboards, etc.)

Understands GE Vernova's products, capabilities and limitations in sufficient detail to be able to develop offerings that meet customer needs

Displays excellent interpersonal skills
