THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is looking to hire a 3 year limited term Management Technician to work within the Bureau of Information and Education. Join our team and protect wildlife and their habitats while promoting hunting and trapping for current and future generations!DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Management Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the Game Commission's Hunter Trapper Education (HTE), and Hunter Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) programs. Work includes presenting HTE classes, coordinating with HTE volunteers, managing warehouse inventory, and assisting with HTE, R3, and public outreach events. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with sportsmen's clubs and other organizations to plan and register participants for Junior Pheasant Hunts, Family Field Days, and HTE classes. Additional duties may include administrative tasks to maintain efficiency of daily operations.Make your career aspirations a reality with the Pennsylvania Game Commission!Interested in learning more? 3 year limited term, full-time employment

Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 45-minute lunch.

Weekend and evening work as well as travel will be required.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.Additional Requirements:

You must possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

You must be able to commute to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

You must be able to work evenings and weekends.Preferred Qualifications (not required):

Successfully passed a hunter-trapper education course

Possession of a valid state hunting license

Hunting or trapping experience

Successfully harvested game in the past 5 years

Able to teach someone to use a bow, crossbow, or firearm

Supportive of regulated trappingHow to Apply:
