Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a role located in Harrisburg, North Carolina, within the Government sector. The position revolves around the responsibilities of a Staff Accountant, with a temporary employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be working in an environment that values skills such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and Tyler Technologies Munis.Responsibilities: Accurate and timely routine journal entries Conducting bank reconciliations Handling the routing and processing of contracts Overseeing the month-end close process Maintaining general ledger to ensure accuracy Handling accounts payable and receivable Utilizing Tyler Technologies Munis for various accounting tasks. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Solid understanding of and proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, and Journal Entries Familiarity with Month End Close processes Proficient in using Tyler Technologies Munis software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Detail-oriented and able to maintain high level of accuracy in work Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Must adhere to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate a commitment to transparency and accountability.
