Senior Manager, Accelerando Program Lead - 2406197406WDescriptionJohnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager with a track record of exemplary work behaviors and substantial PM experience to join our Clinical Trial Project Management (CTPM) team as Accelerando Program Lead. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to contribute to the development of revolutionary new products within Janssen Pharmaceutical R&D. As the Accelerando Program Lead, you will apply your Project Management expertise and advanced leadership skills on top priority programs to foster collaboration with development teams and ensure successful project execution.Responsibilities:
Partner with the highest priority new product development programs to de-risk and accelerate the launch of world-class new products.
Proactively translate processes, knowledge and expertise into specific solutions for individual teams during the most impactful phases of the development program.
Apply exceptional facilitation and influencing skills to effectively collaborate with development project team leaders, Therapy Area leaders and functional partners across J&J. This collaboration will drive project success and establish a strong advocacy for the CTPM team.
Support Compound Development Teams (CDT) by becoming a trusted advisor to project leadership and a strategic partner to functional team members. Apply your relevant experience, project management expertise and leadership capabilities to facilitate and accelerate program execution.
Use your expertise in project management tools and techniques to support the generation of project plans and provide insights based on customized project analysis and scenarios.
Bring clarity and focus to key project activities through critical path analysis based on fully integrated cross-functional project plan development. Work with PM partners (RPM, PDPM, CPM) to ensure alignment and integration with the CDT project plan in Planisware.
Conduct objective Threats and Opportunity assessments of the critical path to remove obstacles and leverage acceleration opportunities. Support early risk identification and development of mitigation strategies.
Drive the implementation of best practices to high value R&D development initiatives.
Help ensure organizational readiness to support project execution.
Identify and communicate potential gaps in current cross-departmental processes and organizational structures and work with line management to remove obstacles to effective project execution.
Proactively recommend and outline new processes for upcoming and current development phases. Integrate enabling technologies into the team setting to drive transparency and efficiency.
Develop plans for the most significant risk reduction and growth opportunities.
Identify and manage communication of metrics and benchmarking data on Accelerando engagement.
Actively monitor and engage the external landscape to ensure a constant awareness of emerging new practices, project management and leadership tools and strategies, and continuous improvement opportunities for Accelerando.
Recognize potential and stimulate progress by implementing inventive solutions from the wider JNJ ecosystem.
Take on the role of a Project Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the CTPM team. This includes providing training, coaching, and mentoring to CTPM colleagues, as well as developing effective Project Management processes for the benefit of the entire team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an R&D, product development, or supply chain environment.
Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, etc.) is preferred.
Critical Chain Experience / Pro-Chain Certification is a plus.
Proven expertise in MS Project is required.
Proficiency with technology enabling tools including Visio and Excel is required.
Demonstrated ability to be creative and flexible in changing/improving working environments within a broad context.
Experience working in a global matrix organization is required.
Candidates must be able to work in one of several Janssen locations. May require up to 20% travel for brief durations dependent on the project assignment.
