Uncover the essence, motivation, and significance of your contributions. Armstrong County Children, Youth and Family Services is seeking a dedicated Social Services Aide 1 to join our dynamic team.DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for transporting parents and children to visitations, ensuring safe and timely arrivals. You will also facilitate transportation for families, which encompasses both children and parents, to various essential appointments such as medical visits, therapy sessions, forensic interviews, and behavioral health consultations. Additionally, you will provide childcare services at the agency's office, courthouse, and other designated locations. Your duties will include offering practical guidance on household management skills to clients, which may involve childproofing homes for infant safety, cleaning, organizing, and pest control. You will participate in Child Safety Car Seat Training, maintaining your certification, and will be tasked with instructing agency staff, parents, and foster parents on the proper installation and usage of child safety car seats, requiring the ability to lift and carry children. Furthermore, you will oversee the agency's "Infant Safe Sleep Program," which includes distributing Pack 'n' Plays to families lacking cribs. Lastly, you will be responsible for scheduling routine maintenance for county vehicles and ensuring that your assigned vehicle remains clean and well-maintained.Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Flexibility in work schedule is often required since appointments may be outside of the standard work schedule. Weekends may be required for this position.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Requirements:
