THE POSITION

Are you a human resource professional interested in starting a new and exciting chapter in your career? The Department of Corrections Human Resource (HR) office is seeking a Human Resource Analyst 2 with excellent communication skills and exceptional work ethic to join our team. While working within the Talent Management Division in the Department of Corrections (DOC) HR Office, you will be providing talent planning services, including talent acquisition actions submitted by the Department of Corrections. Join our team of dedicated professionals where you have the ability to showcase your technical human resource skill set!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Human Resource Analyst 2, you will be tasked with identifying issues related to employee retention, recruitment challenges, insufficient candidate pools, improperly skilled or trained candidates and employees, performance management issues, and other issues potentially impacting talent acquisition and retention. Work includes consulting with various HR staff and agency program managers to develop solutions to identified issues as well as analyzing the workforce and related data and information. You will have the opportunity to serve as a talent acquisition analyst responsible for meeting the talent acquisition goals of the DOC, to include the filling of civil and non-civil service positions. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to hiring managers regarding hiring options associated with posting and filling vacancies, as well as interviewing and selecting candidates. You will be tasked with ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach is maintained will all hiring activities as well as following agency policies and processes.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. The selected candidate may have the opportunity to remain at their current work location or be assigned to an authorized field site.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 including six months in the area of the parenthetical; or

One year of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties, including six months of experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
