STV is seeking highly motivatedCivil/Water Resources Engineerfor positions in either our Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Harrisburg PA or Lawrenceville, Newark, NJ offices, with experience public transportation improvement projects forNJDOT, SJTA, NJ Turnpike,PennDOT,and other agencies. The candidates will work under the supervision of Senior Project Managers with responsibility for providing civil/highway design for projects with minimal supervision. Assignments may also include other aspects of Civil Engineering such as drainage design, rail-transit, and design-build projects.Responsibilities include:
Providing professional design services for highway improvement projects for various public transportation agencies in NJ and/or PA.
Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage, grading, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, roads, and cross sections for transportation improvement projects
Coordinating design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff.
Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
Assisting with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages.
Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers.
Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
Mentoring andproviding technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team.
Site feasibility evaluations and assessments, and constructability evaluation.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering(Transportation Focus)
PA and/or NJ Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Minimum of8years of progressive transportation design experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Familiarity with NJDOT, PennDOT and AASHTO design standards is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects.
Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.Compensation Range:$114,960.00 - $153,281.00Don't meet every single requirement?
