We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a dual part-time role as a Towing Dispatcher / Automotive Service Writer. This unique position is the main point of contact for both emergency towing requests and scheduled automotive service customers, requiring a dynamic individual who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
Towing Dispatch (Primary Duties):
o Receive incoming calls for towing and roadside assistance, collecting accurate information regarding location, vehicle issues, and safety concerns.
o Prioritize service calls and dispatch the appropriate tow trucks and drivers using dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
o Maintain constant communication with drivers and customers, providing updates on estimated arrival times and job status.
o Keep detailed records of all calls, dispatches, and incidents.
o Coordinate with law enforcement or insurance providers as needed.
Automotive Service Writer (Secondary Duties):
o Greet customers, listen to their vehicle concerns, and ask clarifying questions to understand their service needs.
o Create accurate repair orders and provide customers with detailed, written cost estimates for parts and labor.
o Act as the liaison between customers and service technicians, clearly communicating customer requests and explaining complex technical information in simple terms.
o Monitor the progress of repairs, inform customers of any changes or additional work required, and obtain authorization before proceeding.
o Handle billing and process customer payments upon completion of service.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
o Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to remain calm and empathetic when dealing with distressed customers.
o Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
o Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn industry-specific dispatch and shop management software.
o Basic knowledge of automotive systems and terminology.
o Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred:
o Previous experience in a dispatch, customer service, or automotive repair sales role.
o Familiarity with local geography and traffic patterns.
o ASE certification or automotive trade school education.
