We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Laborer to join our construction team. This role is physically demanding and essential to the success of our projects across multiple states.
Position Summary
The Laborer supports all phases of our recreational construction projects by performing a variety of manual tasks. This team-based role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the willingness to learn new skills related to playground and park equipment installation. Travel is required.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation:
Perform a wide range of physical labor, including lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, digging, and moving construction materials.
Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment using hand tools or machinery.
Safely operate equipment such as jackhammers, tampers, compactors, mixers, drills, saws, skid steers and various power tools.
Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing tasks as needed.
Maintain and care for company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards; properly store all equipment and materials.
Follow all company safety standards and CPSC regulations at all times.
Demonstrate willingness to learn multiple aspects of recreational construction, including installation of playground components, surfacing, and site amenities.
Complete all other tasks as directed by project supervisors or foremen.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires:
Exposure to outdoor environments and variable weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, dirt).
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and lifting heavy materials.
Operation of tools, machinery, vehicles, and safety equipment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Use of required PPE (hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.).
Occasional use of computers, mobile devices, and communication equipment.
Work Schedule & Travel
Must be available for early mornings and extended days.
Travel is required throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and West Virginia.
Overnight stays as needed based on project schedule.
Home on most weekends and ALL holidays
Paid travel time and food expenses provided.
May experience temporary layoffs during winter months, depending on workload and weather conditions.
Education, Certifications & Licenses
High school diploma or equivalent Required
Valid driver’s license Required
Mechanical aptitude preferred
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to pass background checks
Experience
Previous laborer or construction experience preferred, but not required.
Experience with tools, equipment, skid steer or mechanical work is a plus.
Experience towing equipment trailers, or a willingness to learn.
