Penn State College of Agriculture is searching for a full time Farm Machinery Operator C to join their team. Duties include:Operate passenger bus on and off campusTransport students and others on scheduled and nonscheduled runs such as field trips, farm locations, etc. as assignedCheck mechanical condition of bus before, during and after operationReport needed maintenance to supervisorClean inside of bus daily and as needed during operationsOperate tractors and equipment between and on University Farms to spread manure and fertilizer, harrow, disk, mow, rake, ted, and cultivateOperate trucks and hand tools to load, transport, unload, weigh and store supplies, materials, fertilizer, pesticides, seeds, and crops, such as hay, straw, silage, etc.Measure, mix and apply pesticides as requiredUnload silage from trailers to blower in silo filling operation, and level silage as requiredOperate pneumatic grain-handling system as neededGrease, check oil, gas, water and tires, etc., and make minor adjustments to tractors and equipment being operatedReport needed repairs to supervisorDaily record gas, oil, and operation information in tractor logAssist in assembly, minor repair and painting of equipmentAssist in minor maintenance and repair of farm buildings and facilitiesPerform clean-up duties in and around farm buildings and fields, such as trimming hedgerows, removing stones from croplands, etc.Job Requirements: Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation in their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. Requires a Pennsylvania Commercial Driver`s License (CDL) Class Band Passenger Endorsement (P); without Commercial Restrictions E, L, and Z upon hire. Requires a Hazardous Materials (H), Tank (N), and Category 18 Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator's License within 90 days of hire. 6 - 12 months of effective experience.This position includes overtime as needed in accordance with Article 17 of the TLU8 Agreement

Work Schedule:8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
