DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will serve as the primary supervisor by delegating, engaging in, and evaluating both routine and specialized tasks carried out by inmates in the areas of preparation, production, service, and baking. You will maintain effective oversight of inmates by implementing custody and security protocols, while also inspecting all food service areas, equipment, and food to ensure compliance with established safety and sanitation standards.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 40 hour work week
Work hours are 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with rotating days off
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation.
This position is subject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding. If no applicable union-covered bidders apply, other applicants will be considered.
