The Department of Transportation (DOT) seeks a Legal Office Administrator 1 to offer administrative and legal assistance to the attorneys in the Office of Chief Counsel, General Law Division. If you are diligent and eager to ensure that contracts are negotiated, drafted, and reviewed in compliance with PennDOT and Office of General Counsel (OGC) standards, we encourage you to apply today for this exciting and fulfilling opportunity to become part of our committed professional team!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be responsible for acquiring a comprehensive understanding of Commonwealth contract policies and evaluating current contracts to ensure adherence to these policies for effective administration and compliance. You will oversee the execution of contract agreements and act as the main contact and intermediary between Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) attorneys and both internal and external clients throughout the entire contract lifecycle. A key aspect of your role will involve formulating policies and procedures for contract processing, including internal review mechanisms. You will also identify and address inefficiencies in operational practices related to contract negotiation, execution, and maintenance, providing formal written recommendations and implementing approved changes to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will establish, revise, and enforce procedures for the storage of contract documentation, manage files, and ensure proper record retention. You will maintain the OCC's electronic contract tracking database and create checklists, flowcharts, and other resources to facilitate contract development and processing. Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week after completion of training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.

Additional Requirements:

You must possess good interpersonal skills, including active listening, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
