JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATIONPosition Title : Parts Room CoordinatorPosition Type : FulltimeFLSA Status : Salaried Non-ExemptDepartment : MaintenanceLocation : Columbia, MOBusiness Unit : Principe FoodsReports to : Maintenance SupervisorYears of Experience : 0JOB SUMMARYThe Parts Room Coordinator is an integral part of the Maintenance Team. They perform a key role with ensuring that all of the necessary parts for our machinery are received, properly stored, then distributed as needed to maintenance mechanics. This vital role will manage the inventory and ensure that only the appropriate team members are able to receive tools and equipment within the facility.The Parts Room Coordinator must embrace the idea of ownership of their crib. They will be responsible for ordering, receiving and keeping parts organized in their location; in addition to entering the materials into SAP for inventory purposes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAccurately place materials and supplies into storeroom by stocking shelves and putting material away.Review computer printouts, issue parts, complete required paperwork.Count incoming shipments in order to verify information against purchase ordersExamine products for defects and accuracy, report any shortage and defective items to Procurement.Store/put away incoming items in storeroom or other designated areasPerform regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouseAssist in taking physical inventories of supplies, store items and tools.Maintain housekeeping of storeroom and area outside of storeroom at all times.Always use safe work practices, follow all safety rules and procedures, immediately report any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in safety programs.Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned.May be required to work overtime and weekends.Other duties as assignedThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
