Description Our client, a small CPA firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Accountant to join their team located in Columbia, South Carolina. This role primarily focuses on tax preparation, client accounting activities, and audit services. The individual in this position will also play a critical part in business development activities, building relationships within the community.Responsibilities: Prepare corporate, partnership, and personal tax returns accurately and efficiently Conduct client accounting activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately Perform audit services, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse client base that includes medical practices and manufacturing companies Participate in business development activities, fostering relationships within the community Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Prepare and present monthly financial statements to clients Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements Collaborate with team members on the annual external audit process Ensure the accurate processing of customer credit applications and maintain precise customer credit records.Requirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role Demonstrated ability to prepare Corporate Tax Return Proven experience in preparing Partnership Tax Returns Proficiency in Personal Tax Returns Ability to compile Monthly Financial Statements Experience in conducting Annual External Audit Proficient in the preparation of Annual Audited Financial Statements Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required CPA certification is preferred Strong knowledge of tax codes and regulations Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
