Through innovation and active partnering with other GE engineering teams and external customers you will have the opportunity to design, implement and automate validation strategies for control software for HRSG/BOP and integrated plant level controls. You will be empowered, work in a Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe) driving meaningful change and continuous improvement using Lean principles.  This role requires some autonomy and some judgement in more complicated environment. In addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers explaining information to get consensus, this role is critical in driving a culture of technical domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset.Job DescriptionWhat you'll do

Design, develop and execute strategies to gather and define requirements, and validate Plant standard control application software, comprising of HRSG and Balance of Plant (BOP), against requirements while creating a permanent linkage between requirement and standards artifacts.

Design, develop and execute strategies to gather and define requirements and validate Plant (HRSG and BOP) control application software against project and program specific requirements using standards artifacts as a basis.

Work with the technical leaders, Control Title Holders, internal customers, and external customers to gather control and operability requirements to deliver a quality product on time to meet Power Plant startups and commissioning activities.

Define and deliver productivity and process improvements that increase the capacity of the Plant Controls team.

Lead and support Agile enterprise tool strategies including CLM & PLM integration

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience

Minimum 5 years of related experience of which minimum of 3 years controls engineering experience

Strong technical skills and expertise and substantive experience in Integrated Combined Cycle Plant Control in HRSG, Balance of Plant using Mark VIe

Controls Software Validation knowledge

Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams, customers, and suppliers to get consensus

Proven change agent with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

Proven experience working in a global matrix environment, with influence and collaboration skills

Strong leadership skills, keeping team focused and innovating through dynamic business cycle

System Integration mindset within the Thermal Engineering community for meeting customer demands

Excellent communication skills with ability to sell technology through simple and clear messaging

Simplification mindset, acting on feedback, driving productivity initiatives for business results and personal engineering satisfaction

Experience in working in Agile Team methodologies will be an added advantage
