Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in Hopkins, SC. This role is vital to the operations team, where you'll assist in making informed decisions that benefit the company. You will collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and the plant management team, providing insightful analysis to drive actions. This role involves ensuring the integrity of the Balance Sheet, controlling product costing and operational costs, and managing forecasting processes. Responsibilities: Assist the plant operations team in making well-informed decisions by providing in-depth understanding of operational drivers affecting performance Uphold strong internal controls and foster an environment of governance and compliance Support our Production and Capacity expansion efforts within the plant Develop, manage and influence the budgeting process with the plant management and operations team Support day-to-day operations as well as transformation initiatives impacting the plant Manage finance resources located in the plant Partner with plant operational leadership to enhance Plant Performance Collaborate cross-functionally on various topics related to plant performance and controlling, and tactical and strategic objectives impacting the plant Anticipate risk and opportunity on various time horizons and work with business partners to react appropriately Ensure understanding of plant performance metrics and work with plant management team to challenge and drive results Review and ensure accuracy and validity of the financial statements monthly Oversee the month-end close processes for the entity Support and oversee the Quarterly Budget & Forecast Processes, working with business partners to drive forecast accuracy and actions Conduct frequent variance analysis of Actuals & Forecast, present results to various management stakeholders to support various business decisions Review, Develop, Implement and Validate the Key Internal Controls for the entity Support and enable Annual physical inventory, as well as supporting cycle count program Support Capital Expenditure lifecycle – including support of product line transfer outs and in – ensure proper CIP controlling, documentation, and collaboration with project managers, project sponsors, and Mechanical Engineers Support and enforce monthly required governance and compliance/internal control processes, procedures or activities for the entity Focus on Inventory Control ranging from Excess and Obsolete monthly compliance, Cycle Count program oversight and involvement, Work in Process reporting and analysis, in addition to other project specific inventory implications Support various internal and external audit requests throughout the year on various topics.Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Plant Controller Strong skills in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting are essential Experience with HR Budgeting is required Must possess the ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis and Complex Financial Analysis Proficiency in Financial Analysis and Financial Statement Preparation is necessary Knowledge and experience in Cost Accounting is required Should have strong proficiency in Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel Familiarity with SAP is idealRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
